Supreme Court slams Allahabad HC for releasing offenders on probation

Reportedly, a Supreme Court bench of Justices J B Pardiwala and K Vinod Chandran called the Allahabad High Court's decision 'misplaced sympathy'. The HC had released two men, given five-year jail terms by the trial court, on probation citing the long trial.
