Major European carriers join on a direct-to-device satellite program without Starlink

Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefónica and Vodafone are reportedly backing a European rival for direct-to-device satellite services. Item 2 says they signed a letter of intent to consider a joint spectrum bid.
