Painting bought for £500 identified as Turner, sells for nearly £1.9m

A painting once thought to be by a follower of Julius Caesar Ibbetson was identified as an early work by JMW Turner. Originally bought for a little over £500 at an April 2024 auction, it later sold for nearly £1.9m.
